I will be supporting the CDA Ride-A-Thon on Sunday, June 6th, 2010. I have donated prizes and will be educating on the benefits of Equine Chiropractic on Sunday June 6, 2010 at Copeland Forest. They will be celebrating the 25th Anniversary for the Diabetes Ride-A-Thon.
North River Riders and the Canadian Diabetes Association have once again teamed up in the effort to raise money for research and to help out Huntsville’s Camp Huronda. This event has seen tremendous growth since the beginning. Twenty-five years ago a handful of riders started out by raising $800. The twentieth annual ride had 146 riders raising over $24000, and the twenty-first annual ride coming in as a close second record fundraising event for the club. The event took a short downswing for a couple of years with the restructuring of CDA, followed by a strong resurgence last year bringing in around $16000 with about a hundred riders.
We’re hoping to raise even more for this great cause in 2010. For more information, please read the information located at: http://www.diabetes.ca/get-involved/events/25th-annual-diabetes-ride-a-thon/
